Betty Jo Woods, age 76, of Cedartown passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014.  She was born in Rome, Georgia on January 30, 1938 to Andrew Jackson Woods, Jr. and Josephine Redden Woods.  She worked as a nurse for many years at various nursing homes.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Geneva Hill and one brother, Bobby Woods.

Survivors include one son, Gregory Lamar Woods of Piedmont, AL; one sister, Jeanette Crider of Piedmont, AL; three grandchildren, Amanda Woods of Marietta, Brandon Woods of Piedmont, AL and Morgan Wells of Rome; one great grandchild, Jackson Woods of Piedmont, AL; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from Faith Baptist Church in Piedmont, AL with Rev. Brent Poole officiating.
