Ms. Betty Ann Bolden Sumlin, age 75, of 285 Head Ave., Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008. Ms. Sumlin was born in Haralson County on November 15, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Otis Bolden and the late Lillie Smith Bolden. Ms. Sumlin was a retired the textile industry. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Bolden and Shirley Bolden; and one brother, Ray Bolden. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy Davis of Tallapoosa; two sons, Jerry Davis of Buchanan and Mike Sumlin of Tallapoosa; two sisters, Bobbie Sue Worley of Tallapoosa and Joyce Davis of Tallapoosa; one brother, Danny Bolden of Newnan; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 8, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert C. Hines, M.D. officiating. Music will be rendered by Valerie Davis. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Corey Bolden, Wade Davis, Todd Davis, Chris Davis, Joey Crook and Randy Redding. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
