Ms. Betty Jane Wilson Myers, age 61, of Tallapoosa passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017.  Ms. Myers was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 1, 1956.  She was the daughter of the late James Eugene Wilson and the late Beatrice Price Wilson.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Tabitha Whitmore; four brothers, Lamar Hicks, Calvin Wilson, Bobby Wilson and Raymond Elliott.

Survivors include one daughter, Gina Myers of Tallapoosa; one son, Shane Myers of Tallapoosa; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Sandee Elliott of Tallapoosa, Shirley and Buddy Farmer of Buchanan, Wanda and Ricky Cook of Cedartown, and Elaine Wilson and Tommy Baggett of Tallapoosa; four brothers, and three sisters-in-law, Jessie and Sue Wilson, and James and Beth Wilson all of Tallapoosa, Rex Wilson of Cedartown, and Joel and Tonya Wilson of Bremen; seven grandchildren, Jordan Myers, Tyler Myers, Kyndal Wigley, Blade Wigley, Kyly Myers, Lexie Myers and Jameson Myers; three great grandchildren, Adalynn Myers, Ollie Myers and Gabriel Myers; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM. from Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tallapoosa with Rev. Barry Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, she will be cremated following the viewing and visitation on Thursday evening.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
