Ms. Betty Jo Kilgore, age 70, of 44 Westbrook Rd., Bremen passed away Friday, May 15, 2009. Ms. Kilgore was born in Haralson County on October 6, 1938. She was the son of the late George Benson Kilgore and the late Cora Laminack Kilgore. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Cleveland; three brothers, J.C. Kilgore, Harvey Kilgore and Newell Kilgore; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Linda Houston of Felton and Troy Houston of Bremen; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Maggie and Fred Hulsey of Bremen, Marie and Davie Mullis of Alma, Wilma and Hubert Hulsey of Tallapoosa, Terri Brown of Bremen and Jean Houston of Bremen; two sisters, Jean Arrington of Carrollton and Geneva Malone of Temple; two brothers, Harold Kilgore of Bremen and Clifford Kilgore of Buchanan; fourteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 18, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. from Mountain View Baptist Church in Paulding County with Rev. Tommy Rice, Rev. Arthur Justus and Rev. Billy Cleveland officiating. Music will be rendered by Linda Rice and Chuck Prater. Interment will follow in the Liberty Christian Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Pete Houston, Steve Hulsey, Lee Hulsey, Joshua Mullis, Chuck Prater and James Pointer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
