Mrs. Bertha Mae Campbell Yarborough, age 84, of Cedartown formerly of Jacksonville, Florida and New York passed away Friday, May 10, 2013. Mrs. Yarborough was born in Haralson County on January 11, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Lee Campbell and the late Mamie Weaver Campbell. Mrs. Yarborough loved animals and also loved to hunt and fish. She and her late husband Gene traveled around the country due to Gene''s job. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the New York American Legion.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Yarborough was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Yarborough; three sisters, Alice Freeman, Gladys Reynolds and Maggie Campbell; and three brothers, Edward Campbell, Gene Campbell and J.D. Campbell.
Surviving family members include one sister and brother-in-law, Sally and P.J. Ploof of Buchanan; two brothers, Buck and Annette Campbell of Cedartown and James David and Lula Mae Campbell of Rockmart; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Also surviving are her nieces and nephews who were her caregivers from Florida, Teresa and John Hires of Villa Rica and family (Randy and Lorie Hires, Lorin Dane and Gage; Samantha and Frank Salter, Nick and Abbi Grace), Marlene (M) Gable and family (Scooter and Marty Gable, Brianna and Regan Collamet and Logan), Shonnie and Don Irwin and family (Shonna Irwin, Taylor and Austin, Tasha and Trent Rich, Jackson, Sawyer and Benjamin), Gay and Jackie Carter and family (Timmy and Trina Carter, Presley and Colton, Jamie and Rebecca Carter, Jaycee, Tricia and Morey Cooksey, Dalton, Hunter), Bunny Fogleman (Deceased) and family (Michael Brantley, Donavan), Tookie and David Lambert and family (Cherry and Keith Padgett, Colton Valencia, Hagan, Casen Bubba and Carrera Lambert) all of Jacksonville, FL.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 13, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Merle Barron and Rev. Anthony Campbell officiating. Music will be rendered by the Vines Family and Annette Campbell. Interment will follow in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Charles E. Campbell, Kevin Campbell, Tim Campbell, John Hires, Jimmy Key, Jr., Ollie Gaston and Jared Key.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M.
Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
