Mrs. Beatrice Lucille Swafford Ploof, age 67, of 718 Hamrick Rd., Bremen passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008. Mrs. Ploof was born in Cleburne County, Alabama on August 31, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Jack E. Swafford and the late Nellie Miller Swafford. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Ploof, Sr.; daughter, Tammy Lee Ploof; sisters, Pat Blalock and Geneva Davis; and brother, William Swafford. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Cathy Bentley of Muscadine, AL, Rene and David Maner of Bremen, April and David Carroll of Buchanan and Amy and Ronald Arp of Bremen; two sons, Eddie Ploof of Bremen and Robert Ploof of Bremen; one step-son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Brenda Ploof of Buchanan; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ruby and Charles Griffith of Rome, Judy and Radar Bejmowicz of Tallapoosa, Betty Woody of Bremen, Helen and Barry Teague of Newport News, VA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Sara Swafford of Tallapoosa and Jack and Mae Swafford of Tallapoosa; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchihldren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Brother Ricky Shirley, Rev. Richard Brannon and Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by Brother Ricky Shirley. Interment will follow in the Mount Zion East Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Lee Poteet, Johnathan Maner, Chris Bentley, Brandon Carroll, Jesse Woody, Ronald Arp and Jeffery Woody. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
