Mr. Bart Wade Ellis, age 62 of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, in a local hospital after a brief illness.  He was born in Atlanta, GA, on September 5, 1959, to parents Johnny and Edna Summerville Ellis.  He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Ellis, his daughter, Kelli Miranda Ellis, and his sister, Dawn Coleman.  Bart was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying golfing, hunting, and fishing.  He also had a gregarious nature and never met a stranger.  His family was his passion and he adored his grandchildren. Bart was an ammunitions loader and worked for many years at Georgia Arms in Villa Rica, GA..

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of  28 years, Cami Ellis of Carrollton; his daughter Kalyn (Jonathan) Lanham, of Villa Rica; his son Michael Tucker of Carrollton; his mother, Edna Ellis of Lithia Springs; two sisters, Starry (Steve) Wallace of Winston and Wanda (Bobby) Voisard of Royse City, TX; and a brother, Keith (Ronnie) Ellis of Dalton.  Also surviving are his precious grandchildren, Laiden and Connor Lanham, and are a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, Bart will be cremated, and the family will host a celebration of his life at a later date.
