Barbara Ann Nunn Steele, age 84 of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. She was born on April 22, 1937 in Trion to the late Grady Lee Nunn and the late Bessie Walker Nunn. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Steele, Sr.; one daughter, Patricia Ann Steele and three sisters, Dorothy Barnes, Polly Wright and Lillian Wallin, and sons-in-law, Michael Allen and Wayne Kimbrell.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Steele Kimbrell of Hiram and Phyllis Allen of Tallapoosa; one son and daughter-in-law, James Steele, Jr. and Kristi of Dallas; eleven grandchildren, April (Chip) Gwyn, Jeffery (Crystal) Kimbrell, Summer (Paul) Parks, Bradley (Ashley) Reece, T.J. (Deanna) Reece, Cody (Samantha) Reece, Mikey Allen, Ariel (Jeff) Walden, Nicole (Nick) Harris, Tripp Steele and Jacob Steele; thirty-two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 18, 2022, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel at 1:00 PM with Reverend Rick Caldwell officiating and April Gwyn and Tripp Steele providing the Eulogies. Interment will follow in Steadman Baptist Church Cemetery with brother-in-law Pastor Billy Wright saying a prayer and the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jeffery Kimbrell, Bradley Reece, T.J. Reece, Cody Reece, Mikey Allen, Tripp Steele and Jacob Steele.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
