Barbara Paula (Willis) Raye wife of the late John Raye passed away on April 8, 2014.

She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1941 and grew up on a far in Blanchard, LA

of which she had many fond memories.  She married in 1961 and after several moves they ended up back in Blanchard.  She worked for many years at Republic Bank.  In 1987 the job climate

brought them to Cartersville, GA where she eventually retired from Cloverleaf Elementary.  She

moved to Adairsville, GA for a few years and recently moved to Waco, GA to be nearer her

son's families.  Unfortunately a terminal illness cut short her time.

She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Asiele Willis (Blanchard, LA)

and one brother Richard

(Roberta) Willis (Cumming, GA).  She is survived by one brother Joey (Gloria)

Willis of Blanchard, LA, two sons James Willis (Christinia) Raye of Delta, AL and

Gregory Lee (Erika) Raye of Waco, GA and one daughter Rhonda Rene' Raye of

Cartersville, GA, also 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchlidren.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 A.M.

from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Rafael Carbollo officiating.

Interment will follow in White Methodist Church Cemetery, White, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Saint Jude Children's Hospital.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the

arrangements.
