Mrs. Barbara Jane Thomasson Garner, age 68, of Bremen passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Mrs. Garner was born in Haralson County on November 27, 1942. She was the daughter of the late John William Thomasson and the late Sarah Irene Tolbert Thomasson. Mrs. Garner was retired from Arrow Shirt Company in Buchanan where she was a supervisor. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Magdalene Thomasson, Gwen Posey and Evelyn Thomasson; and three brothers, J.W. Thomasson, B.F. Thomasson and Eulis Thomasson. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Lee Garner of Bremen; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jay Smith of Bremen; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark Garner of Bremen and John and Vicki Garner of Bremen; one sister and brother-in-law, Gertrude and Glenn Eskew of Temple; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Hoyt and Betty Thomasson of Bremen, Euel and Frances Thomasson of Texas and Gene Thomasson of San Francisco, CA; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gerald Eaves officiating. Music will be rendered by Jeff and Melinda Thomasson. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tim Posey, Steven Thomasson, Mike Thomasson, David Thomasson, Gary Thomasson and Kenny Eskew. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
