Barbara Ann Gaines Green, age 68, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, after a brief illness.. She was born the youngest of Curtis N. Gaines and Jewell Gaines Ward and Marlin "Punk" Ward. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her sons, Nicholas Robert Green and James Robert Green and sister, Janice Gaines Ellis.

Barbara loved her family.  Her greatest pleasure was spending time with them. The ocean, especially sitting on the beach and listening to the waves, was her favorite vacation spot. Barbara was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, win or lose, and she also enjoyed watching NASCAR.  Barbara had a soft spot in her heart for animals and dearly loved her cats. While working at Pike Family Cleaners in Villa Rica, she made many friendships with co-workers and customers. Her warm personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Bernetta Gaines Davis of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Patricia Gaines Mann and J.P., Jr. of Tallapoosa; grandson and his wife, Jag Caelan Garvin and Haley of Tallapoosa and many nieces and nephews, special cousins and family, and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 4:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Brother Kenny Gray officiating. She will lie in state from 3:00PM until the service hour. Interment will follow in Muscadine Memory Gardens with Brother Grover Robinson officing and the following serving as pallbearers: Jag Garvin, Joseph Veach, Joe Feltrinelli, Trey Pike, Brent Addison, Allen Frye, Andrew Stanley and Avery Stanley. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Newman, Jaxson Garvin, Joe Moore, Alan Welsh, Diane Gray and Charlotte Longshore.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 4th at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
