Ms. Barbra Kay Calhoun, age 71, of Rockmart passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012. Ms. Calhoun was born in Bessemer, Alabama on October 23, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Earl P. Calhoun and the late Theo Bedford Calhoun. Ms. Calhoun was a retired administrative assistant with the University of Texas at Arlington.

Survivors include one daughter, Angela Lynn Ochsenknecht of Marietta; two sons, Ted Abbott of Rockmart and Steve Abbott of Mansfield, TX; and a number of other relatives.

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
