Ms. Barbara Jane Lance Blanks, age 56, of Bremen passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012. Ms. Blanks was born in Atlanta on March 22, 1956. She was the daughter of the late William David and Jennie Ruth Cheatwood Lance. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Richard Lance.

Survivors include four brothers, David Lance of Carrollton, Kenneth Lance of Bremen, Paul Lance of Norfolk, VA and Andy Lance of Tallapoosa; aunts, Etha Belle Bentley of Waco and Beatrice Cheatwood of Tallapoosa; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. from Tallapoosa East Baptist Church with Rev. Homer Wysner officiating. Interment will follow in Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Cemetery.

The remains will lie in state at the Church from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
