Mrs. Awana Kiker Adams, age 82, of Bremen passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015.  Mrs. Adams was born in Draketown, Georgia on September 4, 1932.  She was the daughter of the late Fred Kiker and the late Nivia Wood Kiker.  Mrs. Adams was a homemaker.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edgar Adams; and one sister, Juanita Proctor.

Survivors include one daughter, Carol Gee of Bremen; one son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Susan Adams of Carrollton; one sister, Joyce Chandler of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Fred, Jr. and his wife Lisa Adams, Michael Gee, and Bailey and her husband, Alfredo Valverde; three great grandchildren, Dylan Adams, Lincoln Adams and Levi Adams; one great great grandchild, Fynn Adams; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 20, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. from Bremen First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Tidwell officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen.

The family will receive friends in the Sanctuary of Bremen First United Methodist Church Friday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Adams' memory to the Fidelis Sunday School Class at Bremen First United Methodist Church or to the Bremen First United Methodist Church Honduras Mission Trip.
