Anthony Nathaniel Lewis, age 52, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in a local hospital.  Born in Pensacola, Florida, on December 14, 1971, he was the son of Billy Ray Lewis and the late Sue Manning Letourneaux. In addition to his mother, Anthony is preceded in death by a brother, Tim Lewis.

After high school, Anthony enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army where he received the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon and the Driver and Mechanic Badge.  He then continued his education and completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  After many years of nursing, he returned to what he enjoyed most, being a diesel mechanic.  Always an avid outdoorsman, Anthony enjoyed camping, canoeing and kayaking.  He was a "jack of all trades" and helped anyone he could do whatever was needed.  He enjoyed playing video games and teasing his family and friends.  He is to be remembered for his sense of humor, his fun loving nature, and his expert skills in whistling.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 19 years, Nikki Lewis; his daughter, Hannah Lewis; and his son, Andrew Lewis, all of Waco; his father, Billy Lewis; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael (Martha) Lewis and Christopher (Veronica) Lewis. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Julie Hendrix; father-in-law, Jesse Hagan; sisters-in-law, Kate Carnes, Sarah (David) Smith, Lindsay Hagan, Shari (Danny) Duvall, and Rachel Runion; and brother-in-law, Richard Hagan; as well as a number of nieces and nephews and friend.

Visitation for Anthony Lewis will be held Wednesday evening, July 3, 2024, at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.   Following the visitation, he will be cremated according to his wishes.
