Mr. Anthony Lemont Jones, age 65, of Tallapoosa passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017.  Mr. Jones was born in Scottsboro, Alabama, on June 1, 1952.  He was the son of the late James Terry Barner and the late Denese Frances Loudermilk Jones.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Ashley Jones.

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Lefler of Tallapoosa and Belinda Lefler of Buchanan; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Timothy and Michele Jones and Dwight and Goldie Jones all of Douglasville, Ranzie and Meagan Jones of Calhoun, and Anthony Jones of Rome; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Darlene House of Bryant, AL, and Wanda and Keith Peters of Carrollton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Angie Barner of Acworth, and Richard and Vickie Barner of Douglasville; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

The family will conduct a memorial service Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from New Horizon Worship Center in Waco.

Cremation services are being provided by Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
