Ms. Annie Verlin Weaver Wells, age 84, of 355 Allgood Church Rd., Temple passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008. Ms. Wells was born in Haralson County on June 7, 1923. She was the daughter of the late John Weaver and the late Beulah Kirk Weaver. Ms. Weaver was a retired nurse. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Mendel; one sister, Vivian Weaver Mendel and four brothers, William W. Weaver, Herschel Weaver, John B. Weaver and Ellis B. Weaver. Survivors include one son, Pete Mendel of Tucker; two sisters, Mae Weaver Wells of Binghampton, New York and Phyllis Weaver Wallace of Trenton, Florida; two nieces, Jean Eaves of Temple and Gayle Wright of Temple and a number of other nieces, nephews and relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Graveside at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Danny Hutcheson officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: John "Bo" Eaves, Johnny Wright, Bill Craton and Tim Pike. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
