Obituary

Mrs. Annie Estelle Williams Armstrong, age 79, of 120 B Maple Dr., Buchanan passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008. Mrs. Armstrong was born in Polk County on June 30, 1929. She was the daughter of the late James Marvin Williams and the late Louella Swann Williams. Mrs. Armstrong was a retired nursing home dietician. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Armstrong; and two brothers, Leamon Williams and James Williams. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandra and Lynn Roper of Buchanan and Dee Armstrong of Decatur; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tony and Kim Armstrong of Ellijay and Tom Armstrong of Buchanan; one sister and brother-in-law, Jerrell and Paul Lane of Dallas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeannine and Buddy Johnson of Buchanan, Mary and Harry Cunningham of Dallas, George and Freida Armstrong of Conyers and Beryl Armstrong of Buchanan; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. from Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Barfield officiating. The body will lie in state at the Church for one hour prior to the funeral. Music will be rendered by Nicole Thomas. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
