Miss Annie "Ann" Louise Head, age 86 of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017.  Miss Head was born in Buchanan, Georgia, on October 24, 1930.  She was the daughter of the late Carl C. Head and the late Willie Gertrude Brown Head.  Miss Head spent her career as a school teacher in Haralson County.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Carl Head and John "Bobby" Robert Head.

Survivors include one sister, Edith H. Collins of Buchanan; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Buchanan First Baptist Church with Dr. Allen Wilburn officiating.  Music will be rendered by Phyllis Head and Missy Owen.  Interment will follow in Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jim Head, Chris Head, Johnny Head, Dave Head, Richard Collins, John Collins and Doyal Lepard.

Miss Head will lie in state at the Church Friday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
