Mrs. Annell Newman Jeffers, age 77, of Waco formerly of Buchanan passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007. Mrs. Jeffers was born in Haralson County on October 10, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Grover L. Newman and the late Bessie Rose Newman. Mrs. Jeffers was a retired dietician. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jeffers. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Jeffers of Bowdon Junction and LeEllen Wheeler of Waco; one son, Larry Jeffers of Denver, CO and Jerusalem, Israel; one brother, Ray Newman of Mableton; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Gary Dobbs, Larry Dobbs, Ricky Dobbs, Joseph Waldrop, Wade Liermann and Mike Newman. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
