Mrs. Anna Irene Williams Witcher, age 77, of 128 Rocky Hollow Rd., Erin, Tennessee formerly of Carrollton passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Mrs. Witcher was born in Haralson County on December 9, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Franklin George Williams and Pauline Williams of Tallapoosa. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Witcher; two sisters, Genevea Mullins and Kathleen Crews; four brothers, Frank Williams, Walter Williams, J.B. Williams and Doyle Williams. Survivors besides her mother, include one daughter, Deborah Holloway of Dickson, TN; two sons, Bobby Leonard Witcher of Jacksonville, FL and Harold Eugene Witcher of Carrollton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Clestelle and Terry Lyles of Tallapoosa, Beatrice and Oscar Witcher of Tallapoosa and Tommie Ann and Toby Day of Florida; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Charlotte McClain of Buchanan and Bobby and Gerri Williams of Bremen; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. from the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Lizella, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: William Doyle Holloway, Joseph Elijah Holloway, Sr., Robert Earl Waldorf, Casey Harold Witcher, Bobby Witcher, Jr. and Timothy Roy Holloway. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon.
