Mrs. Anna "Lou" Louise Baxter McGukin, age 93, of Bremen passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018.  Mrs. McGukin was born in Haralson County, Georgia, on March 29, 1924.  She was the daughter of the late James Lester Baxter and the late Sarah Ethel Stevens Baxter.  Mrs. McGukin was the long-time owner of Lou's Florist in Bremen.  Prior to owning her own florist she worked at Baxter's Florist.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Nathan Headrick and Michelle Headrick; and one brother, Robert "Bob" Almon Baxter.

Survivors include her husband, James Olin McGukin of Bremen; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Jean and Gary Headrick of Cumming; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Ardoth McGukin of Bremen; one sister, Sarah Dorothy Dewberry of Lithia Springs; one sister-in-law, Gloria Twitty Baxter of Smyrna; two grandchildren, Anna Victoria Hamilton and Ada Marie Dritsas; six great grandchildren, Sarah Kathleen Blume, Aaron Anthony Gazzuolo, William James Hamilton, Stella Beatrice Dritsas, Anna Finley Hamilton and John David Dritsas; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial service plans are incomplete at this time and will be announced as soon as they become available.
