Amos William Akin, age 90 of Temple, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. He was born on July 3, 1930, in Polk County to the late Joe Akin and Eve White Akin. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by three sister, Pearl Bowlin, Mertile Bowlin and Dorris Blue and one brother Charles Akin.

Survivors include his wife, Janelle Akin of Temple; son and daughter-in-law, Van and Diane Brown of Bremen' three grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Eddie Brown, II,and Kristy Nix and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 24, 2020, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel at 11:00 AM with Reverends Ralph Ploof, Jon Smith, Van Brown and Drew Norton officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Felton with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Brandon Brown, Bailey Brown, Eddie Brown, Kody Brown, Tyler Nix, Johnny Akin and Donald Ploof.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Hutcheson's from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
