Mr. Alvie Jerome Mikeal, age 80, of Buchanan passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016.  Mr. Mikeal was born in Bristol, Tennessee on February 6, 1936.  He was the son of the late Burnie Mikeal and the late Minnie Chapman Mikeal.  Mr. Mikeal was a retired supervisor having worked in railroad industry sfor many years.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Tidwell Mikeal of Buchanan; one daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Al Newell of Winston; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Regina Mikeal and Mark and Kathy Mikeal all of Douglasville; one step-daughter, Sherry Moon of Buchanan; one step-son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Lisa Pruitt of Ranger; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Shelby Butler of Columbus, NC and Norma and Jimmy Wilson of Lithia Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Patsy Mikeal of Bristol, VA; fifteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 19, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Kaplan and Rev. Jimmy Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow in New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
