Ms. Alma Ruth Worthy Hawkins, age 77, of Tallapoosa passed away Monday, April 6, 2015.  Ms. Hawkins was born in Tallapoosa, Georgia on February 4, 1938.  She was the daughter of the late A.D. Worthy and the late Katura Wilson Hilton.  Ms. Hawkins was retired from Crum and Foster Insurance.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Eddie Butler of Douglasville; one brother, Bobby Worthy of Tallapoosa; three grandchildren, Craig Butler, Kenneth Butler and Kerry Butler; four great grandchildren, Tyler Butler, Wesley Butler, Chelsea Butler and Devin Butler; special friend, Amber Smith; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from New Plainview Baptist Church in Tallapoosa with Rev. Homer Wysner and Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating.  Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry and Barbara Wysner officiating.  Interment will follow in New Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
