Obituary

Mrs. Aline Swann Shoemaker, age 80, of Buchanan passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012. Mrs. Shoemaker was born in Haralson County on July 14, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Terrell Swann and the late Nonie Mae Costley Swann. Mrs. Shoemaker was a retired twister operator with E.A.M. in Dallas. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley Shoemaker; two sisters, Montil Monroe and Geraldine Emerson; and two brothers, Joseph Terrell Swann and Chester Swann.

Survivors include one daughter, Diana Adcock of Buchanan; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Annette Shoemaker, Randall and Brenda Shoemaker, Joe and Angelia Shoemaker, Sammy Shoemaker, Jerry and Frances Shoemaker and Bobby and Veronda Shoemaker all of Buchanan; twenty one grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren; and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Hughes and Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by Paige Gloth and Veronda Shoemaker. Interment will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jason Shoemaker, Jamie Shoemaker, Clint Shoemaker, Shawn McGonigal, Johnny Shoemaker, Billy Shoemaker and Scott Shoemaker.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
