Alice Maureen Brannon Oldroyd Seccuro, 73, passed away in her childhood home early Thursday, August 18, 2011 following a long battle with cancer.

Alice was the 10th of fourteen children born to Murdock and Oda Belle Brannon, arriving on April 2, 1938 in Buchanan, GA. She was raised in an LDS home, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latte Day Saints, and began her family in the church. Even though she was not active in the church beyond that point she treasured the family values she learned as a child and practiced them all the way to the end. Through Alice''s accomplishments she demonstrated that most of our limitations are self-imposed. She was open-minded, energetic, and lived life to the fullest. Her last year was filled with love, sadness, joy, disappointment, and ultimately satisfaction.

Alice is survived by three children, Mary Oldroyd and Robert Leasure, Carolyn Oldroyd and Rick Thomas, and Dirk Oldroyd. Six grandchildren: Stephen and Elena Carothers, Jason and Belinda Gray, DeAnn and Tyler Johnston, Harley and Amanda Carothers, Robert Leasure, III, Seth Leasure. Ten great-grandchiildren: Destiny, Stephen, Taylor, Jacob, Dustin and Justin, Havin, Cameron, Ava and Braiden.

Alice preferred not to have a traditional funeral service, in fact she old her grandchildren she would rather they have a party (and they will). Richard Brannon will dedicate her grave in Brannon-Perryman Cemetery, 2:30 August 24th, 2011.

Alice would haunt us if we failed to acknowledge the gratitude she felt to Dr. Dennis Morin (Buchanan) and Dr. Randall Pierce (Carrollton). She was especially happy for the time she had with her sister Cass, and nieces Doris Oxenreider and Tina Hudgins. Alice''s last words of wisdom to us "All you take is the love you share".
