Mr. Alex Michael Goolsby, age 15, of Carrollton passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011. Mr. Goolsby was born in Carroll County on May 24, 1996. He was the son of Travis Goolsby and Kathryn Kee Fortner. Mr. Goolsby was a student at Carrollton High School.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Kathryn and Donnie Fortner of Tallapoosa; father and step-mother, Travis and Angie Goolsby of Carrollton; two sisters, Crystal Goolsby of Carrollton and Amanda Goolsby of Carrollton; two brothers, Nathan Mabe of Buchanan and T.J. Goolsby of Tallapoosa; three step-sisters, Brittany Mabe of Carrollton, Brianna Fortner of Buchanan and Madison Fortner of Buchanan; grandparents, Donald and Violet Fortner of Buchanan, Loretta Britt of Carrollton, Gail and Tom Blakey of Brooksville, FL and Darlene Kee of Whitesburg; great grandmother, Lavada Goolsby of Carrollton; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Van Brown and Rev. Shane Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M.
