Ada Miller Stewart, age 89 of Heflin, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. She was born on October 4, 1934 in Alabama to the late Elston Miller and the late Mabel Howard Miller. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Edward Stewart; daughter, Linda Gail Atkisson; son, Bradford Gary Atkisson, grandchildren, Jerry Lefaine Bejmowicz, II, Craig Atkisson and her sisters, Louise Minery and Joyce Kilgore.

Survivors include, her children, Terry Lane Atkisson and Jerry Lefaine Bejmowicz, I (Judy); daughter-in-law, Mary Atkisson; grandchildren, Crystal Atkisson, Edward Allen Atkisson (Erica), Belinda June Fletcher (John), Tara Dawn Bejmowicz Alewine (Billy), Jessie Meagan Bejmowicz Smith (Shane) and Jerry Bejmowicz, III (Andrea); great grandchildren, Nikki Byrd, Michael Rauba, Madison Rauba, KC Atkisson, Lyllan Atkisson, Jaxon Atkisson, Kaylee Frazier, Alysa Fletcher, Darren Fletcher, Will Fletcher, Hailey Alewine, Jasmine Martin, Zackary Martin, Alyssa Bejmowicz, Kiley Bejmowicz, Adalynn Davis, Nova Bejmowicz, Jerry Lefaine Bejmowicz, IV, Skylar Bejmowicz, Lee Haney and Lera Williams; ex daughter-in-law, Judy Austin Bejmowicz. Ada is also survived by her dog, Arrow and several other relatives and friends.

In keeping with the family's wishes she will be cremated.

The family will host a memorial service on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the residence of Mrs. Ada at 5:00 PM Alabama time 6:00 PM Georgia time.

The family wants to send a special thanks to all the nurses and staff that helped care for Mrs. Ada (Shirley, Kristen, Bailey, Heather and Jason) and a special thanks to her cleaning lady, Judy Hall.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
