Mr. Robert Alvin Burke, age 63, of Tallapoosa, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Mr. Burke was born in Washington D.C. on September 8, 1947. He was the son of the late Elmer Burke and Mrs. Viola Harrison Burke.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Mashburn Burke of Tallapoosa; one aunt, Kathryn L. Burke of Chevy Chase, Maryland; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Buchanan with President Dennis Dean, Elder Lynn Bassett and Elder Charles Partridge officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Bremen, Georgia, with the following serving as pallbearers: David Whitfield, Keith Brown, Jeremy Mashburn, Bruno Cahenzli and Jason Brown.
