Richard Harold Mitchell, Jr.

Mr. Richard (Rick) Harold Mitchell Jr., age 68 of Buchanan, Ga., passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019. He was born on April 19, 1951 in Decatur, Ga. to the late Richard Harold Mitchell, Sr. and the late Blanche Inez Malcomb Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Margarite and Don Bailey.

Rick was a devoted husband and father. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was in food service management during his working career.

He was a devout Christian Evangelist his entire adult life to include public speaking engagements, talk radio and publishing a book…”Truth Blossoms in the Wilderness”.

Rick is survived by his wife Deborah Everitte Mitchell of Buchanan, Ga; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Holly Mitchell of Temple, Ga; two daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Mitchell of Bremen, Ga; Misty and Robert Hembree of Bremen, Ga; 6 grandchildren; Montana Mitchell, Jordon Hembree, Levi Hembree, Christopher Mitchell, Eliza Mitchell, Cristian Ruiz and several other family and friends.

In keeping with Mr. Mitchell’s wishes he will be cremated and a Memorial gathering will be held at his home. Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel and Crematory of Buchanan, Ga. will handle the arrangements.
