Rev. Marion Howard Jenkins, age 73, of Temple, formerly of Tallapoosa passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018. Rev. Jenkins was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 24, 1944. He was the son of the late Howell E. Bryan and the late Sarah Lou Lovvorn Bryan. Rev. Jenkins all around the West Georgia area. He also worked for a number of years as a police officer for both Temple and Villa Rica Police Departments. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Mae Sparks Jenkins.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Jenkins of Tallapoosa, Lisa Jenkins of Knoxville, TN, and Tanya Jenkins of Temple; four sons and daughters-in-law, Marion and Samantha Jenkins of Tallapoosa, Terry and Theresa Jenkins of Temple, Houston and Alisha Jenkins of Bowdon, and Charlie and Kirsten Jenkins of Tallapoosa; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Helen and Phil Huddle of Rowell, and Brenda Trawick of Dothan, AL; one brother, Steve Bryan of Dothan, AL; nineteen grandchildren; thirty six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 12, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. from Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Watts officiating. Interment will follow in Faith Worship Center Cemetery in Bowdon.
The family will receive friends at Salem Baptist Church Monday from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
