Naomi Marlene (Shead) Butler

Mrs. Naomi Marlene Shead Butler, age 85, of Ottumwa, Iowa, formerly of Bremen passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018.  Mrs. Butler was born in Douglas County, Georgia, on October 12, 1932.  She was the daughter of the late Dixon Phillip Shead and the late Ruby Faye Broome Shead.  Mrs. Butler was a homemaker.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Butler, Sr.; one sister, Faye Lynn Pope; three brothers, Junior Shead, Ralph Shead and Richard Shead.

Survivors include five daughters, Kimberly Wagner, Beverly Burford, Melody Wright, Kathy Kenney and Pamela Butler; four sons, Mike Weir, Tony Weir, Steve Weir and David Butler; two sisters, Dianne Peak and Vicky Arterbridge; two brothers, Kenneth Shead and Ricky Shead; twenty nine grandchildren; thirty six great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 2:0 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Hubert Shedd officiating.  Interment will follow in Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Daniel Weir, Justin Weir, Josh Weir, Randall Engle, Jason Butler and Jake Carnes.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
