Maudie Sue Spivey Standish, of Cedartown, Georgia (formally Sue Crow of Bennettsville, SC) passed away on September 1, 2017, from an extended illness.
Born January 18, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Leo McDuffy Spivey, Jr. and Hazel Goude Spivey of Conway, SC. Sue graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1968 and earned an Associate Degree in nursing from Florence-Darlington Tech in 1984.
She is survived by her daughter, Gina Crow Hartness and granddaughter, Eugenia Pringle Hartness of Raleigh, NC, and sisters, Annelle Spivey Edgar (Lou) of Buchanan, GA and Sally Spivey Glass (George) of Piney Creek, NC. She was preceded in death by brothers, Leo McDuffy (Mack) Spivey III and Tony John Spivey.
She was an avid equestrian and loved all animals, especially her horse “Little Boy.” She was a passionate nurse who loved her profession.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to your local Humane Society or Horse Rescue.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan, Georgia, is assisting the family. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
