Mary Kay (Krevel) Shank

Ms. Mary Kay (Krevel) Shank, age 72, of Temple passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018. She was born in Harvard, Illinois on Friday, February 8, 1946. Ms. Shank was the daughter of the late John Fredrick Krevel and the late Leona (Erickson) Krevel. Besides her parents, Ms. Shank is preceded in death by her husband, Ken Joseph Taylor, Sr. and by one sister, Donna Krevel.

Survivors include her three sons, Kenneth Taylor, Jr. of Temple, Kerry Taylor, Sr. of Temple, and Todd Shank of Montgomery, Illinois; one step-daughter, Threasa Marie Shank of Machesney Park, Illinois; her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Gale Krevel of Machesney Park, Illinois; one sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Rick Betten of Florida; six grandchildren, Kerry Taylor, Jr. of Temple, Tony Taylor of Temple, Joel Taylor of Temple, Sara Taylor of Temple, Donna Taylor of Temple and Candace Taylor of Florida; four great grandchildren, Brantley Taylor of Aragon, Lilly Brucker of Florida, Summer Brucker of Florida, and Natalie Brucker of Florida; two nieces, Carol McFadden of Loves Park, Illinois, Connie McClenthen Wennmacher of Belvidere, Illinois and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with the Ms. Shank’s wishes, she will be cremated.

The family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.
