Laverne Bryant Obituary

Mrs. Laverne Smith Bryant, age 75 of Cedartown formally of Bremen, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. She was born on November 18, 1943 to the late Kim Smith and the late Ruth Smith. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bryant; one sister, Patricia Blackmon and one brother, Ricky Smith.

Survivors include her companion of 23 years Stanley Millwood of Cedartown; three daughters, Sherri Chitwood of Cedartown, Kathy Adams of Graham, Alabama and Marie Dempsey of Bowdon; four sons, Jimmy Dempsey of Bowdon, Marvin Dempsey of Sand Hill, Tommy Dempsey of Temple and Eli Dempsey of Temple; four brothers, Jimmy Smith, Lamar Smith, Ervin Smith and David Smith; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and a number of other friends and family.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 4:00 PM at River View Memorial Gardens in Smyrna.

Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan has charge of the graveside arrangements.
