Ferbie Joyce (Morris) Whitmore

Mrs. Ferbie Joyce Morris Whitmore, age 69, of Tallapoosa passed away Friday, November 17, 2017.  Mrs. Whitmore was born in Carrollton, Georgia, on November 14, 1948.  She was the daughter of the late Harvey Morris and the late Irene Walker Morris.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David “Buck” Whitmore; and one daughter, Lisa Carroll.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and David Folds of Tallapoosa, Amy and Mark Carroll of Whitesburg, and Jane and Chris Gray of Carrollton; one son-in-law, Lee Carroll of Tallapoosa; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joan Whitmore of Tallapoosa, and Sue and Denver George of Waco; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jerry and Sandra Morris of Muscadine, AL, and Larry Morris of Carrollton; eight grandchildren, Ryan Carroll, Kay Carroll, Scott Folds, Faith Folds, Julie Hotalen, Taylor Carroll, Hannah Gray and Gage Gray; eight great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Murphy and Rev. Wayne Webb officiating.  Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Tallapoosa.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
