Mr. Doyle Lee Witcher, age 70, of Calhoun passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Mr. Witcher was born in Gadsden, Alabama, on November 2, 1947. He was the son of the late Oscar Witcher and the late Lera Beatrice Williams Witcher. Mr. Witcher was retired from the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Won-Shil Kim Witcher of Calhoun; two daughters, Nadine Cooper of Omaha, NE and Kim Annie Witcher of Calhoun; one son, Alexander Witcher of Calhoun; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lanette and Joe Daniels of Tallapoosa, and Bonita and Harvey Beasley of Wildwood, FL; two grandchildren, Emma Jean Cooper and Jack Cooper; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dean Williams officiating. Music will be rendered by Frankie McCarley and Susie Williams. Interment will follow in the McClain Cemetery in Tallapoosa with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Sheldon Witcher, Joey Posey, Neal Posey, Justin Witcher, Frankie McCarley and Lee Daniels. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Posey. Military honors at the graveside will be provided by the Haralson County Veterans Association.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
