Mr. Curtiss Darrell Vines, Sr., age 70, of Temple passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019. He was born in Cedartown on Monday, April 12, 1948. Mr. Vines was the son of the late, Troy Vines and the late, Cindy (Spivey) Vines. Besides his parents, Mr. Vines was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Arlene (West) Vines; two brothers, Franklin Vines and Douglas Vines and two sisters, Carol Jean Vines and Ann Vines.
Mr. Vines was a loving husband, father and friend. He enjoyed watching Georgia Bulldogs football and was an avid NASCAR fan, his favorite driver was Richard Petty. But of all things, Mr. Vines especially enjoyed spending time his grandchildren.
Survivors include his two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Tanya Vines of Temple and Curtiss Vines, Jr. of Mableton; four brothers and one sister-in-law, Raymond Vines of Waco, Wayne and Ann Vines, Terry Vines, and Troy Vines all of Cedartown; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Randle Cochran of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Brett Hall of Villa Rica, Chase Vines of Temple, Halie Barnes of Temple and Stefanie Vines of Canton.
In accordance with Mr. Vines’ wishes, he will be cremated.
