Mr. Clarence Lewis Smith, age 83, of Temple passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017. Mr. Smith was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 21, 1934. He was the son of the late Thurman Smith and Callie Buchanan Smith. Mr. Smith retired from Hewlett-Packard as a computer programmer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Clement Smith.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Deborah Maddox of Dallas, and Nancy and Robert Collins of Hiram; one son Gene Smith of Temple; six grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Alex Smith, Sean Crowe, Connie Crowe, Chad Collins and Aaron Collins; ten great grandchildren, Ashley, Skylar, Tyler, Hailee, Torrie, Colt, Parker, William, Autumn, and Finley; one great great grandchild, Aubrey; and a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Lynn Ward of Walnut Grove.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 28, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. from West Georgia Worship Center with Brother Ricky Shirley officiating. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park, Villa Rica.
The family will receive friends at West Georgia Worship Center from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 28, 2017.
