William Travis Bishop, Jr., age 77 of Bowdon, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was born in Atlanta, GA, on October 15, 1944, to the late Virginia Crews Bishop and the late William Travis Bishop, Sr. In addition to his parents, Travis is preceded in death by siblings: Doug Bishop, Brenda Chastain, Mary Smith, Barbara Coleman, Grady "Pete" Bishop; and brother-in-law, Billy Hill. He had retired from the trucking business.

Survivors include three sisters, Patsy Hill of Bowdon; Vicky & Daryl Bruce of Dallas; and Debra Screws of Luthersville; four brothers, Jerry & Mary Bishop ofTyrone; Henry & Sarah Bishop of Senoia; David Bishop of Riverdale; and Larry Bishop of Commerce; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Mr. Bishop's wishes, he will be cremated, and the family will plan a service for a later date. The family would also like to say a special thank you to his niece Cindy Sledge and her fiance' Nathan Camp for taking care of Travis these last few years.
