Lee K Brewton

Mr. Lee Kennington Brewton, age 88, of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020. Mr. Brewton was born July 28, 1931, in Cochran, GA, to the late Francis Asbury Brewton and Ruth Finney Brewton.  After serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Korean War, Lee attended and graduated Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Management.  He worked in the engineering department at Southwire, retiring after 40 years.

Lee and his wife, Bernice, attended Carrollton First United Methodist Church and were very faithful to the church and active in their Sunday School class. Mr. Brewton was preceded in death by his son Eric David Brewton; his sister Betty Cole; and his brothers David Eugene Brewton and Robert Glenn Brewton.

Mr. Brewton leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Bernice Powell Brewton of Carrollton; daughter, Terry Robitaille of Ellenwood, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Debbie Brewton of Temple; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

In accordance with Mr. Brewton’s wishes, he will be cremated.  A service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
