James "Eddie" Edwin (Jr.) Perry

Mr. James Edwin "Eddie" Perry, Jr., age 53 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully  Wednesday,  September 22, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Gadsden, AL, on August 10, 1968, to parents Miriam Benefield Perry and the late James Edwin Perry, Sr.  Eddie was a graduate of Berry College with a degree in Finance.  He also spent eight years in the Navy as a Navy Seabee.  Eddie loved his family and was an excellent husband, father, and family provider.  He was a lifelong learner who loved  summertime and was a "straight shooter" with everyone.  Loving sports, Eddie was an avid Auburn fan. He loved life!

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Roseann Pomes Perry of Buchanan; daughter, Kyra Perry of Dallas, TX; son Devin and Tatyana Richardson of Buchanan; mother, Miriam Perry of Buchanan; grandchildren, Cameryn Richardson and Greysen Richardson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and James Owens of Tallapoosa; Jamie and Tim Payne of Buchanan; Mickie and Mike Morrow of Fruithurst, AL; and Pam and Johnny Laminack of Fruithurst, AL.  Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Rosemary Hastings of Buchanan; brother-in-law, Jack Pomes of Buchanan, and a number of loving nieces and nephews.

The family will host a memorial service for Eddie Perry on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM (Georgia time) from the Fruithurst Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the service hour.
