Carol Lee Stone, age 63 of Franklin, passed away peacefully Friday, March 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Madison, Georgia, on June 25, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Howard Stone and the late Willie Mae McDaniel Stone. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Stone and Sammy Stone.
Carol was an excellent chef who delighted in serving others and her family. For over 10 years, she managed a fruit stand where she enjoyed visiting with the customers and giving generously of all she had. Many times her friends left there with an abundance of goodies for which she accepted no pay. Being an avid outdoors person, camping and fishing were two of her favorite activities. Her passion, though, was her family, and she spent many enjoyable hours spoiling her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Jessica and Luke George of Franklin, Ronnie Stone of Bostwick, and C.J. Armistead and Matt Schmidt of Denver, Colorado; and her companion of 38 years, Coty Armistead, of Franklin. Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: Kayla Stone, Katherine, Stone, Alison Stone, Cash Armistead, Bradley Stone, Cohen Smith, Callie George, and Bodhi Stone; her sisters, Kathy Rice of Bostwick, Rosemary Skomer of Bostwick, Suzille Bailey of Buckhead, and Jennie Jackson of Lavonia; her brother Larry Stone of Plant City, Florida; her precious fur baby, Huck; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In accordance with Carol's wishes, she will be cremated.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is honored to serve the cremation needs of the Stone family.
