November 30, 1952 ~ September 15, 2021 (age 68)

Obituary

Ms. Bonnie Jean Hammock Wingard, age 68 of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021.  She was born in Cullman, AL, on November 30, 1952, to parents Lillian Blackmon Hammock Jiles and John William Hammock.  In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by a son, William Williams and a brother, Glen Hammock.  Bonnie attended Bremen High School and worked in the food industry most of her life, most notably cooking those wonderful biscuits for the People Pleaser and the Corner Cafe in Bremen.  She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, riding on dirt roads, and working with flowers.  But her most special times were spent with her grandchildren; they were her "everything."

Bonnie is survived by her son, Darrell Wingard and Sarah of Douglasville; her best friends, Wanda and Terry Sullivan of Carrollton; sisters, Glenda Coker of Atlanta and Gayle Davis of Anderson, SC; and a brother, Gary Hammock of Panama City, FL. Also surviving are her precious grandchildren, Lillian and Jonathan "Bubba" Wingard.

Graveside services for Ms. Bonnie Wingard will be conducted Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 3:00 PM from the Brice Family Cemetery in Bremen with Pastor Lee Porter, III, officiating.  The family requests that all attending wear bright colors to honor Bonnie.
