Mr. Bennie Lee Weaver, age 79, of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was born on June 8, 1940 in Buchanan to the late Milfred Weaver and the late Irene Everedge Weaver. Mr. Weaver worked 26 years at Arrow in Bremen until the plant closed. His last employment was with Haralson County as one of the managers of the Poseyville Road Convenience Center. He and his wife, Jessie, enjoyed Blue Grass music and spent many enjoyable Friday nights in Buncombe listening to and joining in with the musicians there.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie L. Hurston Weaver of Buchanan; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Sheryl Weaver of Cedartown; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Nancy Weaver of Buchanan and Franklin and Barbara Weaver of Rockmart; two grandchildren and their spouses, Shawmarie and Ron Duckworth of Buchanan and Brandon and Kassie Weaver of Bremen; seven great grandchildren, DaKota Duckworth, Whitney Harper, Parker Weaver, Harley Weaver, Bentley Weaver, Bryce Weaver, Beckom Weaver and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 28, 2020 from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM with Patty Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Phillip Morton, Lisha Hurston, Billy Miller, DaKota Duckworth, Ron Duckworth and Calvin Smith.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
