Mr. James Ralph Carter, age 83 of Buchanan, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020. He was born on August 4, 1936 in Haralson County to the late, Russell “Bud” Carter and the late, Grace Brown Carter. Besides his parents, Mr. Carter is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Russell Carter.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dianne Carter of Buchanan; one daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Charles Morin of Carrollton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, James Scott and Vicki Carter of Buchanan and Steve Carter of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Katie Carter, Tyler Carter, Audrey Morin and Nathan Morin; one sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Billy Jo Ayers of Buchanan; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Sonya Carter of Buchanan and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 2P.M. from Tallapoosa East Baptist Church with Scott Carter, Dr. Reverend Allen Wilburn and Dr. Reverend Mason Bush officiating.
Interment will follow in Buchanan City Cemetery with Reverend Thomas Ward officiating and the Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Deacons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
