James Pruitt Obituary

James Edward Pruitt, age 76 of Waco, passed away Tuesday morning, March 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bessemer, Alabama, on October 1, 1947, he was the son of the late Marvin Jackson Pruitt and the late Levi Morgan Pruitt.

James proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. He spent most of his work career as an independent truck driver. James was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church in Jacksonville, TX. He will be dearly missed by his family.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Duff Pruitt; his sons, James Edward Pruitt, Jr, James Earl Pruitt, and Jeremy James Pruitt; and one sister, Pat Warren of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members.

In accordance with Mr. Pruitt's wishes, he will be cremated.
