Annie Pearl Forshee Chumney

Mrs. Ann Forshee Lumpkin Chumney, age 75, of Sylvester died Friday June 8, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Mrs. Chumney was born December 23, 1936 to the late Claude and Christine Smith Forshee in Worth County. She had lived in Worth County all her life and had worked at Worth County Hospital in the admissions office before retiring. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and at one time had been a faithful member of Poulan Methodist Church. She loved her family and made friends everywhere she went. She had resided at Sylvester Health Care for 2 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherrie L. Thompson (Billy) of Ashburn, GA and her son, Marion Travis Lumpkin, Jr. (Pat) of Carrollton, GA ; grandchildren, Gayle T. McKissack, Ashburn, Angie T. Lowrey (Tash) Warner Robins, B.J. Thompson (Stephanie) Ashburn, Jamie Perry (Kimberly), Stephen Perry (Ashley), Susan Brumblow, Robert Brumblow, all of Carrollton; 11 great grandchildren, Sisters-in-law, Gwen Blanchard, Jananne Batten both of Ashburn; One surviving aunt, Mrs. Mae Langfield, Ozark, AL and a special friend Mrs. Betty C. Smith.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Chumney was preceded in death by her husbands, Travis Lumpkin, Sr. and Daniel Chumney; her mother and father in law, Gilbert & Inez Lumpkin of Ashburn.

Memorial services conducted Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. from Harmony Baptist Church in Turner County.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harmony Baptist Church or Harmony Baptist Cemetery Fund, 3011 Hill Road Ashburn, GA 31714.
